Refund Policy
If the guide doesn't cover your situation, you get your money back.
14 days, no argument, no need to justify it beyond telling us what was missing.
Country Guides
You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason. Email [⚠️ NOT SET: PLACEHOLDER_SUPPORT_EMAIL] from the address you bought with. We process it back to your original payment method, usually within three business days; your bank may take a few days more to show it.
Access to the guide ends when the refund is issued. We ask that you delete any copies you made.
We would genuinely rather know what was missing than keep your money. If you tell us, it usually ends up in the next update.
Guide + Review
Before your call: full refund within 14 days, same as above.
After your call has taken place: we refund the guide portion of the price, since the consultation time has been delivered and can't be returned. If you feel the call itself fell short of what was promised, tell us — we will look at it properly rather than hide behind this paragraph.
Ancestor Records Trace
Because this is manual research done specifically for you, refunds work differently:
- Before we start — full refund, no questions.
- After the report is delivered, and it identifies an eligible country — no refund. The report and the matching guide were both delivered as promised.
- After the report is delivered, but it can't identify an eligible country — the $149 guide-value portion is refundable on request, since there's no guide to include when we can't tell which country's process fits your case. The remaining $200 stays with us: the archive search was still done properly, and a negative result is a real result — knowing there's nothing findable online often saves far more than the fee. We say this clearly before you buy.
- If we didn't do what we said — searched the wrong person, missed sources listed in the product description, or delivered nothing usable — full refund.
What we don't refund for
We can't refund based on the outcome of your citizenship case. If a consulate rejects your application, an office is slower than its stated turnaround, a law changes mid-process, or you turn out not to be eligible, that isn't a defect in the guide — and we say so up front rather than implying otherwise. We sell information about a process; we don't control the process.
We also can't refund third-party costs you incurred — application fees, certificates, apostilles, translations, postage.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, that right can be waived — but we don't rely on that waiver: our 14-day policy above gives you at least the same protection. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have by law.
Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. A refund from us is faster than a chargeback, and we have never refused a reasonable request. Contact: [⚠️ NOT SET: PLACEHOLDER_SUPPORT_EMAIL].
